Our story
Over 75 years ago, we made our mark in the pharmaceutical space as the first producers of ethycellulose (EC) and hydroxypropyl methylcellulose (HPMC) excipients, known as ETHOCELTM and METHOCELTM. Since then, we have continued to develop some of the most well-known brands in the industry, including Avicel®, the first microcrystalline cellulose (MCC) excipient, POLYOX™ polyethylene oxide, which plays a pivotal role in osmotic pump technologies and other innovative drug delivery systems, and many more.
